Are dogs allowed?

Well behaved dogs are welcome to enter the castle.
They must be kept on a lead at all times and cleaned up after if necessary!

Do I need to book online before visiting?

Although online booking is available, you do not need to book online for visits on a normal opening day.
For special events such as ‘Meet Father Christmas’ you will need to book online to avoid disappointment.

Do I need to book for my child who is under 5 years old?

Although under 5s enter free, you do need to book a complimentary ticket for them online.
If they would like to participate in any activities at the castle, such as the Easter trail, or Meet Father Christmas, there is a separate cost, tickets for which can be purchased online.

Can I arrive at a different time to that on my ticket bought online?

Your ticket entitles you to free entry to the castle on the day you have booked for at any time during opening hours.  Please note that the last entry / re-entry into the castle is 45 minutes before closing.

Is there an onsite car park?

There is no on-site parking at the castle.
There is a pay and display car park in Castle Square and on the streets. There are other, cheaper car parks at a little distance from the castle, and the Park & Ride bus from Ludlow Eco—Park. See Directions/Parking for more details.
