During your private Father Christmas experience, children will have the opportunity to share their Christmas wishes, chat with Father Christmas and enjoy a personalised visit. Father Christmas will take time to talk about each child's interests before presenting their gift. Father Christmas experience tickets also include admission to explore Ludlow Castle and its grounds, making this a truly magical Christmas day out in one of England's finest medieval castles. HOW TO BOOK

Important: To reserve your family's private Father Christmas experience, you must add ONE "Reserve Your Time Slot" ticket to your booking. Without this ticket, your selected time slot will not be reserved.

1. Choose the date you would like to visit the Father Christmas Experience. 

2. Select your preferred arrival time for the experience. 

3. Select one "Reserve Your Time Slot" ticket. This reserves the time slot selected in Step 2 for your family's private Father Christmas experience. Only one "Reserve Your Time Slot" ticket is required per family group.

4  Add a "CHILD TICKET – Meet Father Christmas" for each child who will be meeting Father Christmas and receiving a gift. 

5  Add an "ADULT TICKET– Meet Father Christmas" for each adult attending the experience. 

6  If a child or adult does not wish to meet Father Christmas or receive a gift, please book a General Admission tickets instead. Please Click Here To Book.

All visitors attending the Father Christmas experience, including both children and adults, require a valid ticket. Children must be accompanied by a paying adult aged 18 or over. Due to space limitations within the experience, each booking is limited to a maximum of 4 children and 4 adults per timeslot. Larger groups may not be able to attend together within the same session. If you are booking for a larger party, please contact us before making your reservation so we can discuss the available options and help ensure your group can be accommodated.

MEMBER BOOKING INFORMATION

All Ludlow Castle members wishing to enjoy the Father Christmas experience must follow the booking process outlined in the "How To Book" section above. Adult members are admitted free of charge as part of their membership benefits and should be added using an "ADULT MEMBER – Meet Father Christmas"  for each adult member attending the experience. However, children with a valid membership must still purchase a "Child – Meet Father Christmas" ticket at the standard event rate to take part in the Father Christmas experience and receive their gift.

Membership cards will be checked on arrival. Please ensure all guests booked on member tickets can present a valid Ludlow Castle membership card. If a valid membership cannot be provided, the applicable admission charge will be payable before entry.

FATHER CHRISTMAS EXPERINCE TIME SLOTS

Time slots run throughout the day, with the first time slot starting at 10:05am and the final beginning at 3:50pm. To ensure your visit runs smoothly, please arrive 15 minutes before your allocated time slot.

Please note that the castle closes at 4:00pm. Guests booked on the final sessions are encouraged to explore the castle and grounds before meeting Father Christmas to make the most of their visit.

AGE SUITABILITY

The Father Christmas experience is recommended for children aged 0-10 years, although families with children of all ages are welcome to attend. Father Christmas's gifts are suitable from birth, so even the youngest visitors can enjoy the magic. Please note that any child attending who would like to receive a gift from Father Christmas will require a valid child ticket, regardless of age.

ARRIVAL & PARKING

Ludlow Castle is located in the centre of Ludlow. Please allow plenty of time for parking and your walk to the castle entrance, particularly during busy periods and weekends. LATE ARRIVALS

Please arrive promptly for your booked time slot. Late arrival may result in shortened time within the experience, and entry cannot always be guaranteed if a session has already commenced.

ACCESSIBILITY INFORMATION

Ludlow Castle is a historic medieval site and some areas contain uneven ground, steps and narrow passageways. The Father Christmas experience is located within a medieval tower and access restrictions may apply. Guests requiring accessibility information are encouraged to contact the castle before booking so that we can advise on access arrangements and available facilities

WEATHER AND VENUE INFORMATION

The Father Christmas Experience will operate in most weather conditions. As parts of your visit may include outdoor areas within the castle grounds, we recommend dressing warmly and wearing suitable footwear during the winter season.

In severe weather conditions, it may be necessary to close the castle grounds and relocate Father Christmas from his medieval tower to the Beacon Room within Castle House. If this happens, the Father Christmas Experience will still take place as planned, ensuring your visit can continue safely and comfortably. As access to the castle grounds and tower will not be available, all ticket holders will receive a complimentary voucher for a return visit to Ludlow Castle on a standard open day.

PHOTOGRAPHY

Families are welcome to take their own photographs and videos throughout the experience. There is no official photographer, and all photographs and videos must be taken by members of your party.

REFUND INFORMATION

Tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable except in the event of cancellation by Ludlow Castle. Please carefully check your booking details before completing your purchase.
